Financial Accountant

Sheridan Maine are recruiting for a leading company based in West Dorset, who are keen to expand their finance team due to ongoing business growth.  This great new opportunity, will join a well-established and high-achieving finance team working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare year-end accounts for multiple entities within a time-pressured environment
• Produce financial statements and information for a number of entities
• Prepare external statutory returns
• Ensure accurate balance sheet reporting and reconciliations
• Be the key contact for the external auditors and manage the sign off process
• Act as a team leader in the finance team, supporting junior colleagues
• Liaise with various internal stakeholders to convey financial information effectively
• Perform monthly reconciliations and adjustments to maintain accurate financial records
• Engage in analytical tasks and project work throughout the month

Suitable Candidate:

• ACCA or ACA Qualified 
• Previous experience in a professional services environment is highly advantageous
• Ideal for someone looking to settle into a new business for the long term
• Ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders and deliver key financial information effectively
