Associate Director of Finance

Sheridan Maine is partnering with a growing London-based business to recruit an experienced Associate Director of Finance. This is a senior finance role offering the opportunity to lead strategic financial planning, drive operational excellence, and support the organisation’s growth journey.

The Role:
As Associate Director of Finance, you will work closely with the executive team to provide financial leadership, ensure robust controls, and deliver insightful reporting to support strategic decision-making. You will also manage a small finance team and play a key role in shaping the financial function as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial strategy, planning, and forecasting to support business growth
• Oversee finance operations, including management accounts, reporting, and controls
• Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to senior management
• Manage and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of performance and collaboration
• Support key business initiatives, projects, and transformation programs
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies

Candidate Profile:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• Significant senior finance experience, ideally in a fast-growing commercial environment
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, reporting, and operational finance
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strategic thinker with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
