  • Provide technical accounting expertise across the business, including reviewing changes in accounting standards and preparing technical papers where required
  • Oversee group balance sheet controls, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Support the development and enhancement of finance processes, procedures and controls
  • Manage and mentor a small team, providing guidance, coaching and support to help develop their skills
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure accurate and timely reporting

About You:
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical accounting experience and a background in statutory reporting.
You will ideally have experience within a complex organisation, with exposure to consolidated accounts, multiple entities and audit management.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Proven experience preparing or managing statutory accounts

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience improving accounting processes and controls
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
