Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk – Watford, Hertfordshire (Hybrid)

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established organisation based in Watford, Hertfordshire, who are seeking a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join a supportive environment and provide valuable support during a busy period. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week required in the office.

Your key responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Clerk:
  • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Matching, batching and coding invoices
  • Performing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Resolving invoice queries and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting payment runs and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks as required
The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will have:
  • Previous experience working within an Accounts Payable or purchase ledger role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to work accurately to deadlines
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Experience using finance systems and Excel
