Sheridan Maine is recruiting a reliable and experienced Part Time Bookkeeper to join an established and friendly business based in Buckinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to maintain work-life balance while contributing meaningfully to a well-run finance function.

You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping duties, supporting financial processes, and ensuring accuracy across accounts.

Key responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records including purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Process invoices, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with monthly reporting.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Support payroll preparation and employee expenses.
  • Liaise with external accountants for month-end and year-end processes.

What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or finance role.
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and able to manage confidential information.
