Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting an Audit & Accounts Manager on behalf of a well-established Chartered Accountancy practice based in the Leatherhead area of Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients, while playing an important role in delivering high-quality audit, accounts and advisory services.

The Role
As Audit & Accounts Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors and will be responsible for overseeing assignments from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities of the Audit & Accounts Manager will include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact.
• Planning and overseeing audit assignments, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
• Reviewing statutory accounts and financial statements.
• Preparing and reviewing accounts for a range of businesses, including limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Providing clients with practical accounting and business advice.
• Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
• Supervising, supporting and developing junior members of the team.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to client relationships.
  
  

About You
We are looking for an experienced Audit & Accounts professional who is confident working independently and managing multiple client assignments.

You will ideally have:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong audit and accounts experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Good knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach to client service.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
  
  

ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience) candidates are encouraged to apply.
